Participate

The Postcard Collective holds quarterly postcard exchanges, in which 30 artists send postcards to each participant. For each round, we invite 15 outside artists to participate; the remaining 15 slots are given to our active members on a first come, first served basis.

A call for entries is posted to both our announcement list and the blog three months before each exchange. All accepted artists will be notified one month before the exchange date. Please see the annual schedule below for entry dates.

Winter exchange, February 1st: entries accepted November 1st – December 1st, notification by January 1st.
Spring exchange, May 1st: entries accepted February 1st – March 1st, notification by April 1st.
Summer exchange, August 1st: entries accepted May 1st – June 1st, notification by July 1st.
Fall exchange, November 1st: entries accepted August 1st – September 1st, notification by October 1st.

Becoming an active member

Members of the Postcard Collective are automatically accepted into our seasonal postcard exchanges and a private discussion list intended to facilitate community growth. Active members are also given the opportunity to participate in ancillary collaborative projects whenever possible.

Active membership is reserved for those who commit to participation in at least two of the Collective’s exchanges per year.

To be considered for membership status, one must demonstrate a serious commitment to the project and participate in two seasonal exchanges. An invitation to join the group will be sent upon the completion of the second exchange.
